Dr Albert Nwaba is a Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist. Dr Nwaba completed his advanced Specialist training in General Medicine, Gastroenterology and Hepatology (including liver transplantation) in Perth, Western Australia. He then completed medical training in the United Kingdom after graduation from the University of Port Harcourt in Nigeria.

Dr Nwaba's subspecialist interests are in chronic and acute liver diseases, endoscopy, viral hepatitis, inflammatory bowel disease and general gastroenterology.

Dr Nwaba has a private practice in North West Private Hospital where he sees patients with chronic liver disease, luminal gastroenterology and provides endoscopy procedures. Dr Nwaba is also available for consultations at Steele Street Clinic, Devonport.

He also retains a public appointment as Clinical Lead and Visiting Medical Specialist at Mersey Community Hospital Latrobe and North West Regional Hospital, Burnie. He is also a Senior Lecturer at the Rural Clinical School at University of Tasmania.
